The short version: Jump Rope Protocol keeps your training on your iPhone. The app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We never see your sessions.
The app
- Your sessions, ropes, workouts and settings are stored on your iPhone, in the app. They aren’t sent to us or to anyone else.
- Motion. With your permission, the app reads your AirPods’ head motion during a session to count your jumps. It’s processed on your iPhone, and the app keeps the jumps it counted, not the motion itself.
- Heart rate. With your permission, the app connects over Bluetooth to a heart-rate strap you pair, and reads your heart rate and the strap’s battery during a session. The readings are kept with the session, on your iPhone.
- Apple Health. If you allow it, the app reads your most recent weight from Apple Health to estimate calories. It doesn’t write anything to Apple Health, and Health data is never shared or used for advertising.
- Purchases go through Apple. We never receive your payment details.
- Apart from purchases, the app doesn’t connect to the internet.
- Deleting your data: delete sessions from History, or delete the app to remove everything. You can take back the app’s access to Apple Health, Motion and Bluetooth at any time in the Settings app.
This website
- No cookies. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn’t follow you to other sites.
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, your email address is kept by Cloudflare and used only to tell you when the app is out. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address.
- Like any website, our host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.
Changes
